Aunt V's Ginger Cake with Pure Cane Syrup
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees F
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup Maga and Pop’s Pure Cane Syrup
1 cup Canola oil
In a bowl beat wet ingredients well.
2 Cups All Purpose flour
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp ginger
1 Cup boiling water
1 tsp baking soda
By hand gently mix dry ingredients into wet until all the dry ingredients are incorporated, do not over mix.
To one cup of boiling water add 1 tsp of baking soda. Mix into batter, it will be runny.
Pour batter into a greased 8"x10"x2" pan and bake in a 350 degree preheated oven for about 45 minutes or until it test done.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and/or freshly whipped cream.
